ADZ first launched onto the global stage in 2008, and we established our Singapore headquarters to position our business for the exceptional growth expected in this region.

ADZ born in Asia, but serving the world

Founder and CEO

Reza Behnam

ADZ is the brainchild of Reza, an accomplished business professional with more than 13 years Internet industry experience behind him. As the Founder/CEO of ADZ, Reza's dream is to build a world-class business, backed up by a world-class team, to deliver on the promise to sponsor and nurture the future of the advertising industry. Driven by core values such as trust, openness, creativity, innovation and quality, it was only natural to make these values the cornerstone of ADZ.

Reza has worn many hats, including long stints as a management consultant, a marketing research/science expert, a corporate executive and an institutional investor. Immediately prior to ADZ, Reza was a venture partner with IDG Ventures SEA, a venture capital fund focused on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors in South East Asia. Before this, Reza enjoyed six years with Yahoo! - which took him from Silicon Valley to Asia, where he was the managing director for Yahoo! South East Asia from 2004-2007. During this time, Reza was responsible for Yahoo! SEA's end-to-end delivery teams, including product, engineering, sales, marketing, strategy and G&A.

Reza is an investor, entrepreneur, advisor, and director in a number of digital media companies across South East Asia and globally. He sits on the board of MOL Global, a holding company which fully owns MOL AccessProtal Berhad and Friendster. He is an advisor to UK-based StrikeAd, the world's first dedicated mobile Demand Side Platform, and he is also a founding partner at Digital Direction - an executive advisory practice in the field of digital strategy and execution.

Education has always been important to Reza, and he graduated from Boston University with an MA in Economics, after completing two undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Economics. Thinking he'd keep going, Reza dabbled in a PhD in Marketing Science at UC Berkley, but the lure of Silicon Valley was too tempting to ignore. Reza has lived in the UK, US, Greece, India, Iran, and Singapore. Currently, Reza is based in Singapore and is a regular guest speaker at various regional digital media and entrepreneurship events.

Chief Operations Officer

Mohan Mahapatra

Mohan is the COO of ADZ and is responsible for keeping everyone on their toes and making sure the business runs smoothly. If this isn't enough to keep him busy, Mohan is also the executive director of the Recording Industry Association of Singapore, as he has a long history of success in the music industry, having launched EMI India from scratch into a very successful enterprise. A man of many talents, Mohan has run businesses in the music, media, entertainment, advertising and consumer goods industries since the 80s, and more recently, his focus has been on digital and new media.

Following his success with EMI India, Mohan moved to Singapore to run both countries for EMI, as well as emerging Asian Markets. Since arriving, Mohan has focused on content and intellectual property for the Internet and cellular environments, as well as media in South and South East Asia.

A jovial, social and self-confessed couch potato, Mohan likes to spend his spare time on MMORPGs on the Internet, pottering around his aquarium, or devouring science fiction or fantasy novels. Some of his favourite movies are - horror! - chic flicks!

VP Business Development

Mike Langton

Mike has over 20 years experience advising Fortune 500 companies in the Asia-Pacific region. As the founding CEO of XM-Asia he created one of the first and most awarded digital marketing agencies in APAC.

He subsequently led the turnaround and growth of Carat's operations in Singapore and Malaysia and as president of Wunderman Worldwide for APAC led the turnaround of the direct and digital marketing leader in the region.

As a business leader Mike has been directly involved in 13 start-ups, 5 of which became market leaders. He believes that nobody worth hiring into a start-up gladly suffers the indignity of being managed and that coaching and mentoring are the keys to building successful teams in rapidly evolving, competitive environments.

A pilot in his spare time, Mike knows how easy it is to get a plane, or a start-up, off the ground; that keeping it flying and landing it successfully at the destination are where the real skills are proven.

Chief Financial Officer

David Loeffler

David Loeffler is the CFO of ADZ, joining the team in 2011 to take on responsibility for all financial matters. Originally from Downunder, David held several senior finance roles in Australia at Yahoo! and at ninemsn. David also spent several years consulting to the IT and finance teams at PBL Media. Since moving to Singapore, David focuses on providing senior financial support to high growth businesses, particularly in mobile and online media.

David enjoys tennis and swimming, is addicted to watching Rugby and motoGP, and has commenced his journey of eating his way across Singapore.

Director of Engineering

Ganga Chirravuri

Ganga is the director of engineering for ADZ, joining the team in 2011, and he's responsible for the core digital media platform. A highly experienced software engineer, Ganga has worked for the past 12 years with various technologies. Ganga made the decision to move to the region to experience the fastest growing markets in the world and to more deeply understand the motivating factors for the technology industry in South East Asia - an exciting growth region. Prior to ADZ, Ganga worked for Verizon in the US as a software engineer, systems consultant and systems architect for 10+ years. Ganga received his Masters in structural engineering and in computer science.

Outside of work and family, Ganga enjoys playing and watching sports, and he avidly follows geopolitical events. His latest interest is learning tennis and he aspires to travel in South East Asia while he is based in Singapore.

Program Manager

Bill Leece

Bill joined ADZ in 2010 to take on the role of program manager, which sees him focused on product delivery, project management, and strategic planning. An experienced professional, Bill has worked in mobile payments and mobile advertising service development in China, as well as with large IT banking projects in South East Asia, and a pacemaker software development firm in the US.

He is working towards his MBA at the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, and will complete his studies in Jan 2012. In addition, Bill has a MEngSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, as well as bachelor degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Bill is very proud of the fact that prior to working with various start up ventures in Asia, he spent 2004 “walking the earth,” living out of a backpack on about $30/day. He did everything from hiking the Himalayas in India to traveling across Laos on riverboat to hitchiking across Thailand and Malaysia in the back of various pick-up trucks. It was an amazing time.

Systems Technologist

Thomas Gorissen

Thomas is officially the first ADZ employee, joining in 2010 to take on the job of systems technologist, focusing on the front-end work. A user-interface guru, it is thanks to Thomas' skills that we started to see the dream of ADZ as a working, useable platform. With an array of fantastic skills, Thomas works across the company to bring it all together and give ADZ' clients a smooth user experience. Before joining ADZ as lead engineer, Thomas' affinity for Web-development extends back more than 12 years - from a Web-programming side-job while still at school, through his studies in information and communication technologies at Fonty's Hogeschhol in the Netherlands, to the co-founding of his own ambitious Web start-up for digital content distribution, iSyndica, starting in his native Germany, and then working across the US, Panama and Singapore. Definitely an interesting chapter in his life.  

Needing a break from his entrepreneurial pursuits, Thomas joined ADZ because he admired the management team, their knowledge of the industry, and the deep level of care about what they are creating.

Systems Technologist

Sebastiaan Deckers

Sebastiaan joined ADZ in 2011 as a system technologist, responsible for making sure everything works at the front-end. A user interface developer, Sebastiaan is a great addition to our team as he's helped speed up product development and implemented best practices in the engineering team. Prior to ADZ, Sebastiaan was doing his own social media start-up in Singapore, and before that, he was based out of Mumbai working as technical team lead focused on real-time communication products. Originally from Belgium, he has also created a free, open source instant messaging product used by millions worldwide.

Technologist

Win Ko Aye

Win Ko joined ADZ in 2011 as a technologist, and is focused on developing the back end of our world-class digital media platform. Originally from Burma, Win Ko spent his early years as a developer specializing in database technologies in building the comprehensive human resource solution. In 2000, he travelled to Japan to gain knowledge on the Japanese software industry and its unique culture. Win Ko left for the UK in 2003 to do his masters in software engineering at the University of Hertfordshire. Even though the weather was brutal, he lived in the UK for seven years, returning to Burma in 2010 to utilize his skills working with some local Internet businesses. Win Ko came to Singapore in 2011 to join the team at ADZ. A quietly spoken person, who loves taking pictures of people, he spends his spare time trying to fine-tune his radio-controlled helicopter so that he can fly it with least effort.

Technologist

Vasanth Sundararaj

Vasanth joined the ADZ ranks in 2011 as a technologist, working with the team developing the backend core system. Coming to Singapore in 2011 from California, Vasanth was working for Qualcomm as a test engineer in the mobile platform team. Prior to this, he achieved his masters in computer science from the University of Florida. Hailing from Southern India, Vasanth began his academic journey at Bharathiyar University, where he completed a bachelor in computer science, followed by three years working as a developer for Soliton Technologies.

Outside of work, Vasanth loves to play a variety of sports, he enjoys nature, is an adventurer and traveller at heart, enjoys new food experiences and gains tremendous pleasure meeting people from all walks of life.

Test Manager

Yahya Mohammed

Yahya joined the ADZ team mid 2011 taking on the role of Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation Manager. He is a richly experienced software developer, systems analyst and quality assurance professional and has worked in various industry sectors including retail, pharma, financial, banking, manufacturing and telecom projects for more than 8 years. His previous experience includes DFS, Wipro Technologies in USA and Kaizen Technologies in USA.

Yahya gained a Masters in Electrical Engineering, from Texas A & M University, USA.

Our Sales and Support team

Regional Sales Director, S E Asia

Myung Jo Choi

MJ has more than 12 years digital advertising sales experience in South Korea and Southeast Asia. Most recently, as a display head of Yahoo! Southeast Asia, MJ has led display sales teams in 6 countries to achieve a significant growth of display revenue by strategizing and executing regional sales initiatives.

Prior to that, MJ has joined Google as a first hire in Korea and has paved a way to grow both audience and monetization share of Google in Korea.

As a digital advertising expert, MJ has a broad range of experience in display, search, ad network, and mobile. He has also worked closely with all types of clients – marketers, agencies, and resellers in the region. He believes that building trust with clients and team mates is the key success factor to deliver good results.

In his spare time, MJ plays a basketball which has been his hobby since high school. He also likes to do hiking and to bike along East Coast with his family.

Client Relationship Manager

Caitlin McNeal

Caitlin joined the ADZ team in 2011 to take on the role of client relationship manager - she'll be responsible for handling client relationships, day-to-day account management, strategic planning and all relationship activities required to ensure we're keeping our customers happy. Caitlin has lived around the world, but is originally from San Francisco, and moved to Singapore two years ago. Her career highlights to date include working for Adperio on the strategic publisher accounts team, Commission Junction in advertising value-added services and with Mediaplex.

Graduating from Mount St Mary's University in Los Angeles, California, Caitlin studied business communications and began her career at ValueClick Inc.

Media Operations Specialist

B. T. Ram

Ram joined ADZ in 2011 to take on the challenge of media operations specialist - a responsibility which sees him planning and media buying for our clients worldwide. Ram comes with several years of digital advertising experience, and he has been involved in online media planning, account management, search engine optimization and search engine marketing.

Ram's early career began with writing content, however he decided online marketing was more his style - and we agree with him. Ram holds a Certification in Microsoft Adcenter.

One thing Ram has a hankering to do is to sky dive. He's looking out for the best place to do it i.e. somewhere with good safety ;) We'll post pictures.

Noorhaini Mohd Noor

Noor tackles the administrative parts of ADZ. She has 12 years of experience in accounting, HR and administration some of it in start-ups. She is now looking forward to the challenges ahead with ADZ.

Noor is a big believer in lifelong learning and is currently attending classes at Bradford University to upgrade her finance and accounting skills.

Advisor

Jeffrey Seah

Jeffrey Seah rejoined Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) in 2009 in a leadership role to helm its SEA operations, with key responsibilities to focus on growth, as well as to strengthen the network’s product and offering.

Jeffrey is a strong advocate of future-proofing businesses. Under his management, he embarked on a mission to fortify SMG’s core capabilities by delivering talent, expanding assignments among existing MNC clients, as well as driving diversified services to ensure the longevity of the media business that is fast becoming commoditised.

Coupled with his work philosophy and ethics that encourages an environment that champions out-of-the-box thinking, Jeffrey has been steadfast in delivering meaningful brand experiences to SMG clients, further accelerating the network’s transformation into a Human Experience Company.

He is currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer, Starcom MediaVest Group, South East Asia, and sits on the board of a couple of industry start-ups in the region.

Alex Rahaman

Alex is CEO of StrikeAd, which he co-founded in 2010 as the world's first Mobile Advertising Demand Side Platform. With offices in London and New York, StrikeAd has been backed by Thomas Falk, a successful German Ad Tech entrepreneur and investor.  

Prior to StrikeAd, Alex launched and ran the Unanimis (Orange) Mobile Ad Network in the UK in 2007, which he grew significantly following Unanimis' sale to France Telecom in 2009. At Unanimis, he launched Premium, In-App and Network Mobile Ad offerings, and launched Orange Shots, an opt-in mobile messaging advertising programme. Before this, as CFO of Unanimis, Alex was a key member of the Board and Executive Team which drove Unanimis to become the leading independent web adsales business in the UK. In 2006 Alex wrote the first business plan and led the spin out of its ad tech subsidiary, OpenX, and subsequent funding to Index and Accel.

In 2000 Alex co-founded and was COO of Jeego, now a venture backed mobile greetings company. He started his career at Price Waterhouse where he qualified as an accountant. Alex holds a Masters Degree from Oxford University.
